Finally. That’s all I can say. Apple has posted a Press Release which kills all speculation about the release date of one of the most anticipated Mac OSes in history. The new breed of the species arrives October 26, which is next Friday, at exactly 6.00 PM, worldwide.

Minimum specs: Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor with 512MB of physical RAM.

Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard is the next major release of operating systems written by the Cupertino-based Mac maker and comes with roughly about 200 new features. The operating system will work on Intel and POWERPC based Macintosh computers.
