Rat’s it, folks!

Basically, we wanted to see Pixar’s latest last week, but an enormous queue in the cinema prevented us from doing just that. So today the second try, and this time we got the tickets, and were there on time. Ratatouille is the name of the latest big thing that came out of the rendering machines over at the studios of the now Disney owned Pixar Animation Studios.

Remy surveys the landscape of Paris at sunset

We are in Paris. Remy discovers that he has got a gift, he has an incredibly developed sense for smell, and soon despises just eating in any garbage his herd can find. Lead by his ability, he soon discovers his passion about human food, and realizes he can do great things, and so his journey begins into the world of the humans, which his herd fears for things they usually do to rats. Circumstances bring him together with Linguini, who cannot cook at all, but needs to do that in order to earn money. Remy’s sense for human food and Linguini’s will to achieve great things soon meet…

Graphically just stunning (when Remy looks around and sees Paris, I just said ‘Wow’), very realistic, and a storyline that again talks to children and adults on different levels, Pixar has done it again. A story well developed, the jokes are intelligent, everything is very well thought over and brilliantly achieved. The critics were not wrong about this one: It truly is Pixar’s best thing ever made.

I totally recommend this one, if you like good stories that have a meaning (and of course, stunning imagery). Absolutely see it!

5 Stars out of 5.

P.S.:
Pixar’s latest short movie “Lifted” is pretty cool! I won’t tell you much about it, except this:
