In a stunning turn of events, the dream is finally over for lovers of music the world over. The administrator of the largest music pre-release piracy network in the world, OiNK.cd, has been arrested, the servers shut down, also the home of his father was raided as well as his workplace. It is widely assumed that the site will no more return.

The end of an era: OiNK.cd is no more
About 180.000 people were member of the network, which had strict rules of supplying material. Users could not sign up in any way, it was so exclusive that you could only gain access by invitation. The rules were made to filter out material that would not meet the high expectations of its users, members were banned when such a supply was attempted.
The man, aged 24, was arrested today in United Kingdom’s Teesside, sites in Amsterdam were the servers were stored were raided. The site oink.cd, is no longer accessible. It follows a two-year investigation by music industry bodies the IFPI and the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
