So tomorrow is Leopard Day. At precisely 6.00 PM stores will hand out the most anticipated Mac OS box which sports a metal X and a galaxy in the background.
To perform my biggest software upgrade ever, I will get my hands on:
- Mac OS X Leopard 10.5
- iLife ’08 (iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, iWeb, GarageBand)
and then, I will test them all out on the latest and greatest, and blogging detailed test results about everything. This time around, I will specifically perform updates, no Clean Installs, to see how true the claim is that it will retain everything, while making it all faster.
The upgrades will be performed on machines these machines:
- iMac G5, 1.8 GHz, 1 GB RAM
- MacBook, 1.83 GHz Intel Core 2, 1.5 GB RAM
So there we have the best of both worlds, Apple-made Intel and POWERPC machines. I will also blog about the speed on both machines (while Intel already being obviously faster overall – with that I mean the speed compared to Tiger before on each machine).
Stay iTuned. Over on my new Live page, I will do a coverage from how I got my hands on Leopard tomorrow from 5.30 PM.
