To the world of The Mighty Boosh. A surreal comedy show, that my sister introduced to me a while ago. If it wasn’t for her, I actually wouldn’t know about the existence of this show. When I first saw it, I kinda thought it was, well, surreal. But I liked it. For those of you who don’t know it: watch it. The show follows the, well, surreal adventures of Vince Noir (Noel Fielding) and Howard Moon (Julian Barratt), who work in a fashion shop named “Nabootique”. Which in turn is named after their friend Naboo (the Enigma), a shaman with somewhat interesting powers.

So… my sister had two tickets for a live performance of the show in Belfast. I came along, and saw the performance yesterday night in the Odyssey Arena. A pretty huge venue. The show lasted for a good two hours in total, excluding the break. People dressed up as characters of the show, some of them quite nicely done. Good gags, very awesome show!! Vince Noir had a mess-up in one of the parts of the show – but made the best out of it, which I really liked. The Moon of course was with them too, and in one of his songs he wore sunglasses and mentioned the police in a, uh, well, certain way =D
All in all, I really really enjoyed it, pretty damn good show. If you don’t know the show, start watching it. Buy it on DVD, get Torrents, or watch it on BBC… you gonna have a good time. It’s certainly one of the more original things to enter the TV landscape, something not to be missed. Also, the live show is not to be missed too.
