I just feel compelled to eternalize the final moments of the Tachikomas, the think tanks in “Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex”. Their curious personality, points of view, and the questions they ask, or how they behave, really attaches you to them.
So here goes… one of the most legendary moments in Ghost In The Shell history, and probably one of the all-time top ten anime moments:
The Tachikoma Sacrifice
They discard an order in order avoid a nuke from hitting its target, and thus saving their friends’ lives and the lives of 3 million people. The satellite they use to intercept the warhead contains all of their own personalities, their stories, their wits, their curiosity… their lives.
