I just stumbled upon this FANTASTIC fan-made AMV for GITS: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig. It tells the story of the man who lost his eye to Major Kusanagi. He tells his story to his friends and Tachikomas in the episode “Poker Face”. It is one of the greatest episodes I have ever seen in anime show… A fitting music video.
