The one with The Neighbor’s Club
UPDATE – 10:51 PM, 06/03/2013:
After I reported this to legal, and a few of my friends reporting the harassing posts against me, the page has entirely vanished from the face of the Earth. Not just my posts, but everything this page has ever posted, all comments, images… just vaporized like a black hole at the end of its life.
Well, they were warned in a few of my comments, that Facebook Legal had been notified.
—————–
So it has come to my attention that some people, namely the admins of this Facebook page, (note: this link will now redirect to facebook.com, as the page no longer exists. But I’ll leave it here so that you can see what the link was) weren’t too happy about the fact that I reported an offending image.
Here are the entertaining and quite amusing reactions from their admins. It should be noted that I have a fair idea who’s behind this. But, let’s not point fingers, or say any names, because that would get me into legal trouble.
Here are their reactions.
Yes, I haven’t updated this list in a while. The animes are older, but the last one I watched was in 2013. I moved cities as well, so I didn’t have much time for anything recently. Care to look at the date on that list?
Guess they are not reading blogs like ZDNet, ARSTechnica, and others, which interestingly, show the same symptoms.
It won’t have the desired effect if I don’t check your page. But also, we’re starting to move into pretty serious legal territory here. Posting things like this in public is very dangerous.
There are a few more, but you get the picture.
Rest assured, Facebook’s suits and trench-coats have been informed in a very detailed reporting case.
One thing is for certain though… better to be talked about, than not to be talked about. Post all about me as you like. Any publicity for me is good, I guess. You are free to have opinions about me, I cannot change that. Like I said, I have a pretty safe bet about the actual name who posted these, and why. That’s okay. Kids always want to point their fingers at someone when they are angry. It’ll go away.
This will be the last I say about this. It’s one thing to call someone fag, or to post about 15-20 harassing posts about me, including a name and unsolicited sharing of my timeline. There’s a fine line for these things, and some people simply fail to see it.
Facebook has Terms & Conditions. Breaching those can have impact. How much of an impact… I guess that’s up to the person who does it.
How to lose friends and alienate people
It’s okay if you don’t like Windows 8. If you say that to me, I won’t make any judgement on you as a person whatsoever. We all like different things – which is good.
I personally like Windows 8. Chris Pirillo, however, thought it was necessary to insult a few thousand of his subscribers (me included) by saying this:
If you like a Mac, or iPad – fine. I have no grudge against you. You use it because you like it.
Saying that you suffer from a severe psychological condition, just because you like a piece of software, is crossing the line. I don’t care if he’s an enthusiast or has been around for a decade. I unsubscribed. In Facebook and YouTube.
Interesting touch screen calibration
Obama won – but if this, uhm, let’s call it glitch, was on more voting machines… God help you.
Apple losing its way
UPDATE Sep 28
At Apple, we strive to make world-class products that deliver the best experience possible to our customers. With the launch of our new Maps last week, we fell short on this commitment. We are extremely sorry for the frustration this has caused our customers and we are doing everything we can to make Maps better.
[...]
While we’re improving Maps, you can try alternatives by downloading map apps from the App Store like Bing, MapQuest and Waze, or use Google or Nokia maps by going to their websites and creating an icon on your home screen to their web app.

I haven’t written anything here in quite a while. Mostly so because I’m fairly busy with my game and engine, and also, mostly because there wasn’t anything worth mentioning – up until now.
Not too long ago Apple announced and shipped the iPhone 5, and with it, its new version of their mobile operating system for their own mobile devices – iOS 6. That should not be news to you – but I put it here anyways. For the most part, iOS 6 has some interesting changes.
The most interesting change has to do with Apple’s contract with Google running out. In essence, Google is competing with Apple’s system, and as such Apple sought to find alternatives to make all their devices truly their own.
These alternatives were meant for anything Google and Apple had a partnership with – it should be clear to you that this means Maps. And YouTube. But who REALLY used the YouTube app?
Let’s concentrate on Maps.
