NASA’s Kepler mission has found the first planet that’s much like our own (average temperature: 22 degrees Celsius), AND is in the habitable zone (also known as “Green Zone”) around it’s star.

This find should put an immediate end to non-believers and skeptics who are in doubt whether or not another planet like Earth exists out there.

I’d say this is the first of many many out there. To the people in the know, it’s clear what’s going on with alien visitors. We are just getting more official confirmation.

NASA’s Kepler mission has confirmed its first planet in the “habitable zone,” the region where liquid water could exist on a planet’s surface. Kepler also has discovered more than 1,000 new planet candidates, nearly doubling its previously known count. Ten of these candidates are near-Earth-size and orbit in the habitable zone of their host star. Candidates require follow-up observations to verify they are actual planets.

The newly confirmed planet, Kepler-22b, is the smallest yet found to orbit in the middle of the habitable zone of a star similar to our sun. The planet is about 2.4 times the radius of Earth. Scientists don’t yet know if Kepler-22b has a predominantly rocky, gaseous or liquid composition, but its discovery is a step closer to finding Earth-like planets.

Previous research hinted at the existence of near-Earth-size planets in habitable zones, but clear confirmation proved elusive. Two other small planets orbiting stars smaller and cooler than our sun recently were confirmed on the very edges of the habitable zone, with orbits more closely resembling those of Venus and Mars.

“This is a major milestone on the road to finding Earth’s twin,” said Douglas Hudgins, Kepler program scientist at NASA Headquarters in Washington. “Kepler’s results continue to demonstrate the importance of NASA’s science missions, which aim to answer some of the biggest questions about our place in the universe.”

Kepler discovers planets and planet candidates by measuring dips in the brightness of more than 150,000 stars to search for planets that cross in front, or “transit,” the stars. Kepler requires at least three transits to verify a signal as a planet.

“Fortune smiled upon us with the detection of this planet,” said William Borucki, Kepler principal investigator at NASA Ames Research Center at Moffett Field, Calif., who led the team that discovered Kepler-22b. “The first transit was captured just three days after we declared the spacecraft operationally ready. We witnessed the defining third transit over the 2010 holiday season.”

The Kepler science team uses ground-based telescopes and the Spitzer Space Telescope to review observations on planet candidates the spacecraft finds. The star field that Kepler observes in the constellations Cygnus and Lyra can only be seen from ground-based observatories in spring through early fall. The data from these other observations help determine which candidates can be validated as planets.

Kepler-22b is located 600 light-years away. While the planet is larger than Earth, its orbit of 290 days around a sun-like star resembles that of our world. The planet’s host star belongs to the same class as our sun, called G-type, although it is slightly smaller and cooler.

Of the 54 habitable zone planet candidates reported in February 2011, Kepler-22b is the first to be confirmed. This milestone will be published in The Astrophysical Journal.

The Kepler team is hosting its inaugural science conference at Ames Dec. 5-9, announcing 1,094 new planet candidate discoveries. Since the last catalog was released in February, the number of planet candidates identified by Kepler has increased by 89 percent and now totals 2,326. Of these, 207 are approximately Earth-size, 680 are super Earth-size, 1,181 are Neptune-size, 203 are Jupiter-size and 55 are larger than Jupiter.

The findings, based on observations conducted May 2009 to September 2010, show a dramatic increase in the numbers of smaller-size planet candidates.

Kepler observed many large planets in small orbits early in its mission, which were reflected in the February data release. Having had more time to observe three transits of planets with longer orbital periods, the new data suggest that planets one to four times the size of Earth may be abundant in the galaxy.

The number of Earth-size and super Earth-size candidates has increased by more than 200 and 140 percent since February, respectively.

There are 48 planet candidates in their star’s habitable zone. While this is a decrease from the 54 reported in February, the Kepler team has applied a stricter definition of what constitutes a habitable zone in the new catalog, to account for the warming effect of atmospheres, which would move the zone away from the star, out to longer orbital periods.

“The tremendous growth in the number of Earth-size candidates tells us that we’re honing in on the planets Kepler was designed to detect: those that are not only Earth-size, but also are potentially habitable,” said Natalie Batalha, Kepler deputy science team lead at San Jose State University in San Jose, Calif. “The more data we collect, the keener our eye for finding the smallest planets out at longer orbital periods.”

NASA’s Ames Research Center manages Kepler’s ground system development, mission operations and science data analysis. NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., managed Kepler mission development.

Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corp. in Boulder, Colo., developed the Kepler flight system and supports mission operations with the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics at the University of Colorado in Boulder.

The Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore archives, hosts and distributes the Kepler science data. Kepler is NASA’s 10th Discovery Mission and is funded by NASA’s Science Mission Directorate at the agency’s headquarters.

Continue reading »]]> David Martines, a so-called Armchair Astronaut, has found something rather unusual on Google Mars, a knock-off of the well-known Google Maps or Earth. The discovery appears to be an artificial structure sitting on the surface of Mars, on the northern part of the planet. The structure is rather huge and seems to be cylindrical in shape. It is clearly different from the surface, and completely white. What purpose this serves… who knows.

Maybe it’s just a camera glitch. Maybe it’s something of profound importance. We all know that the farthest we have gone is the Moon, unless there’s something not being said to us. Or is this really made by people, other than us? And if so, what is its purpose?

We have all heard of little green men from Mars.

But now an American ‘armchair astronaut’ claims to have discovered a mysterious structure on the surface of the red planet – by looking on Google earth.

David Martines, whose YouTube video of the ‘station’ has racked up over 200,000 hits so far, claims to have randomly uncovered the picture while scanning the surface of the planet one day.

Both of his videos have been removed by Mr. Martines himself – or so YouTube says. I’d doubt that he would go and remove videos of this magnitude. Unfortunately the YouTube page does not reveal the account name, so I could not check for other videos of him.

Describing the ‘structure’ as a living quarters with red and blue stripes on it, to the untrained eye it looks nothing more than a white splodge on an otherwise unblemished red landscape.

He even lists the co-ordinates: 49’19.73″N 29 33’06.53″W so others can go see the anomaly for themselves.

In a pre-recorded ‘fly by’ video of the object, Mr Martines describes what he thinks the station might be.

He said: ‘This is a video of something I discovered on Google Mars quite by accident.

‘I call it Bio-station Alpha, because I’m just assuming that something lives in it or has lived in it.’

‘It’s very unusual in that it’s quite large, it’s over 700 feet long and 150 feet wide, it looks like it’s a cylinder or made up of cylinders.

‘It could be a power station or it could be a biological containment or it could be a glorified garage – hope it’s not a weapon.

‘Whoever put it up there had a purpose I’m sure. I couldn’t imagine what the purpose was. I couldn’t imagine why anybody would want to live on Mars.

‘It could be a way station for weary space travellers. It could also belong to NASA, I don’t know that they would admit that.

‘I don’t know if they could pull off such a project without all the people seeing all the material going up there. I sort of doubt NASA has anything to do with this.

‘I don’t know if NASA even knows about this.’

The ‘discovery’ is similar to that of the infamous ‘face on Mars’

Uncovered by the Viking 1 probe in 1976, a quirk of geography threw shadows over a small hill on the Cydonia region of Mars, making the inanimate rock look like a carved face.

The picture was heralded as proof of an alien civilisation by some but was dismissed as a mere trick of the light by scientists at NASA.

Mail Online has tried to contact both NASA and Goggle for a response to the image, but neither has replied.

Continue reading »]]> Today comes with shocking news to all astronomers and believers around the globe. SETI, the Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence, is too broke to continue with the program – effectively ending all current operations immediately. The Government won’t be funding the project, claiming the chase for alien life is more like chasing rainbows than anything else.

The shutdown comes with a bit of irony, seeing that we are now discovering a lot of other planets outside the Solar System – around 25,000 have now been found. If Zeta-Reticulans send a signal, they might get a “Sorry – the number you have dialed has been disconnected”.

SETI’s biggest, most famous moment, happened on August 15, 1977, when it received a signal which appeared as one to be expected from an artificially created transmitter. It is known as the “Wow!”-Signal, and spawned a massive research in its wake.

The name comes from the comment that was made beside it, and news quickly traveled around the world. The signal lasted for 72 seconds, and was not found again. It is believed the signal originated in the constellation of Sagittarius.

In the research that followed, it was concluded with a high probability that the signal was artificial and intelligently created.

The SETI program at the Allen Array was operational for four years.

Continue reading »]]> This morning I found the following article in the free newspaper ‘Metro’. Basically it mentions that UFO experts are to open a sort of retreat for Irish abductees, where people can come to and talk about their experiences.

What struck me as interesting, is this:

“He insists the experiences of Irish abductees have been positive and ultimately beneficial to the victims.
‘In fact they emerged as more spiritual and relaxed people’, he added”

Now this could be interpreted in a good and bad way… the bad one is that the Greys played God and made them believe in them as gods. But who knows… maybe they really did help them.

Continue reading »]]> Some say that the construction of the Pyramids in Giza were supported and planned by people, other than human. Admittedly, I have come to the same conclusion after studying that subject for some years. However, so far, UFOs had recognizable shapes such as discs, squares, sometimes triangular. Well this hasn’t changed, but there seems to be a new class of UFO – some sort of pyramid shaped design.

This video here, so the uploader has claimed, shows such a UFO in a landing process or on approach to a location. It was apprently filmed in Spain.

To my mind, this looks unaltered and is one piece of recording. The UFO’s visual is consistently distorted with the quality of the tape, as well as zoom-in. What you make of this, is up to you. I’m just posting this and opening the floor of discussion, if anyone is interested.

There are certain guidelines you have to follow if you are about to break a rumor of this magnitude. First of all you have to be pretty damn sure what you are talking about. That might help. Second, you should also have something to support your claim.

In this case, let’s have a quick look at the latest two big rumors that circulated the web. Kevin Rose and his iPod nano, and, well, Blossom Goodchild.

Right. So. Kevin Rose puts on his blog what he learned about an upcoming (and now real) iPod nano. That’s quite something. He predicted a release date, and cited features.

So here was something to support his claim.

Now as a comparison, let’s look at an alleged spyshot of Blossom Goodchild’s predicted UFO:

Bummer… nothing there. Hmm.

Having that said, she had no support material. Kevin did. She said she received the message through ‘channeling’. Kevin said he has learned it from reliable sources (obviously some inside job).

Well in a lot of crucial areas both did well. Kevin had a date, she had a date. Kevin accurately described features of the nano, where she at least described a massive ship.

But… and here’s the important lesson Miss Goodchild:
If you wanna break a rumor, have something substantial to back it up with. Breaking rumors… U R doin it rong.

I have learned that there have been huge bets, that other people believe. I have had interesting discussions with colleagues in the office.

However, the person who started this Kevin-Rose-iPod-nano-like rumor, has a website. Yeap. On which she put on the entire transcript of the conversation she claims to have had with these beings in August. I present it to you in its entirety. So here goes.

TO LEADERS, GOVERNERS, POLITICIANS AND
ALL PEOPLE OF EARTH ….

We wish it to be understood that on the 14th day of your month of October in the year 2008 a craft of great size shall be visible within your skies. It shall be in the south of your hemisphere and it shall scan over many of your states.

We give to you the name of Alabama.

It has been decided that we shall remain within your atmosphere for the minimum of three of your twenty four hour periods.

During this time there will be much commotion upon your earth plane. Your highest authorities will be intruding into ‘our’ atmospherics that surround our ship. Continue reading »]]> So… you know what they say. “I have been abducted”. “They are gray…”. “They are peaceful”. You know what the others say. “What a bunch of *&^%$£”. They are being ridiculed. Now granted, I myself have some theories that sound pretty damn fancy. A close friend would say “You and your crazy theories Marcuuuus” =D.

The UFO Phenonema is a pretty hot topic these days. In the end, yes, no one knows if they are really aliens or not. UFO stands for an Unidentified Flying Object. And that can mean anything. Could be a new plane or something of sorts. However to be fair, there have been reports out there that are pretty credible, and documented, too. We are still asking the ultimate question: Is you or is you ain’t from outer space?

Don’t know if you’re in the scene or if you keep yourself informed about this. There is a well-known UFO researcher (and actress) from Australia, her name is Blossom Goodchild. She has made claims in the past about UFO experiences, and is actively researching the subject.

What does it have to do with Alabama? Well. I’m telling you, it’ll sound perfectly ridiculous and all that. I’m not sure I believe it myself. Keep an open mind about this – alright?

So. She is saying that in four days from now, which would be Tuesday, October 14, a super massive UFO is gonna appear. And it is going to stay there for three days for everyone to see. Media, YouTubers, Diggers, TV, newspapers, you name it.

Blossom Goodchild, an Aussie actress and author, has the international Ufology community on its ear with channeled information concerning the eminent appearance of a massive extraterrestrial spacecraft for October 14th, 2008. Calling themselves ‘The Federation of Light’, these Beings from another world have stated to Goodchild that they intend not only to make themselves known, but also to remain more or less in place for a full 72 hour period, thereby providing the media with ample opportunity to once and for all capture on film evidence that will silence the skeptics and debunkers forever. The predicted rendezvous point? Alabama.

Don’t believe me yet? How dare you question me! ME! Ha! Okay. I don’t believe it quite yet myself. To be fair, it actually is a pretty big claim to make if you ask me.

However, she does not appear to be alone with that claim.

And here’s the kicker; she isn’t the only one making the prediction. Unbeknownst perhaps even to themselves, statements made by other individuals in the past corroborate her findings, one of these being immortalized on paper by Dannion Brinkley. In his latest book (entitled “Secrets of the Light” and published in 2004) on page 222 Brinkley says:

“By the year 2008, the fact that we are not alone in the universe will be made undeniably clear to everyone on the planet. With millions of planets and billions of stars, I cannot fathom how we could ever thought in any other terms. However, for those who have doubted, the extraterrestrials will make themselves known. I believe they feel they have no choice but to show themselves as we verge on self-annihilation, genocide and toxic poisoning. The truth of our inter-galactic lineage will become common knowledge. If I am to believe the vision, the truth of our intergalactic lineage will cause humanity to take one wild ride.”

If you read until this point, fair dues to you. People are saying that it would appear to be unlikely she is doing this to gain financial profit, as the time period from the announcement in August up until now would be way to short. In terms of producing material like books or merchandise. If that was her intention, she’d most likely be told to revise the statement, and take these points into consideration.

1) Be less specific of the date on which the craft is supposed to appear (actually, they would most likely tell her to put it off by at least nine months)

2) Flood the market with products and services (books, videos, seminar appearances and lectures, etc) so the money can start pouring in. She’s done neither.

Well, sounds logical to me. They also say she has quite a reputation to lose. So there is a possibility that she might be speaking the truth… LOL WUT O_O.

I don’t know. All I know is that I’d want it to be true. I’d want for an alien race to show themselves. However I am unsure whether they’d do it that way. Also, to be fair, if they are a super advanced race, I’m sure they took approximately 5 million variables into account… and know what they are doing. They better know.

Call me crazy. Or whatever. I do believe in Aliens… and as far out as this sounds, I’d want it to be true. But as of yet, this rumor is not yet Kevin Rose approved. =D

Continue reading »]]> The theory of UFO’s visiting our world stretches back in time to interesting periods. Sightings allegedly go back to the roman empire, and even to old cultures like the Inca, Maya, and the Egyptians. Some say the explosion of UFO sightings in the last 50 years has to do with the fact that we learned to fly, beat gravity, be able to get from place to place faster than before. Another reason some say is that ever since we fired the first nuke, these beings became alerted to our technological advancement. One thing is for sure though… Old cultures speak of beings who are ‘men but no men’, or ‘giants’, or ‘one armed gods’. They also talk about glorious ‘sky wagons’, and often vanished into the skies. They of course talked about their Gods. But what if these Gods actually were alien?

Now here’s another thing. We cannot standardize our development, and now rapid development, as the benchmark as to precisely when a species like us is able to develop very advanced technologies. Other civilizations, if they exist, may in fact already have achieved super technologies, enabling them to travel faster than the speed of light at will. If that is the case, then we probably are the standard. A pre-space-travelling society, making gradual technological advancement, starting to understand basic fundamental knowledge of how the universe works.

Having that said, we should ask the question if indeed other civilizations have formed before us, or way before us? And if so, did they travel through space? Were they explorers? Did they set out to explore other planets and worlds? Well it would appear illogical to me to dismiss this possibility.

But then, how far back in time could alien visitors come here? What is the earliest possible time? Well most of us are under the impression of Roswell. That, my friends, was by far not the first time. My personal belief still lies within the Pyramids, I think alien visitor planned them as gigantic machines in terms or prisms. That was approx. 11,000 years B.C. – the planning and start of construction little later.

Even though this seems to be pretty far fetched, a find by an archeologist team, if real and true, shatters all theories and timelines about when alien people might possible been here first. Also if true, it would force us to reconsider history alltogether.

An archeology team claims to have found an alien vehicle. What is strange is this sentence? That an archeology team found it. And they also claim to be from the dinosaur age – from 150 million years ago.

News released today about a secret U.S. Government project to analyze an allegedly extraterrestrial craft has a unique twist.

This craft did not crash in 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico.

According to the anonymous sources, it crashed approximately 150 million years ago during the age of the dinosaurs.

Apparently the age was determined with a method which could find out the age of an object. They say:

The sources also reportedly told Martinez, “The object was believed to be an alien spacecraft that had crashed approximately 200 million years ago according to the archaeological team. The site subsequently was examined by a USAF recovery team, which then put the age of the alien craft at approximately 150 million years ago.”

However what is even more strange about this find, is that apparently the alien visitors came to abduct dinosaurs.

“The alien craft contained two highly decomposed alien bodies and decayed animals, which were apparently abducted by these alien beings. The animals were small dinosaurs on board the alien craft.”

Realistically speaking: yes – it is possible that an alien culture could already have been at such an advancement of space travel and technology. The universe is believed to be 13.7 billion years of age, so a few hundred million years would make no difference to the evolution of life.

What however boggles my mind here is, that 1) those people have been here that early already and pretty much know the history of our planet down to last bit, and 2) that they came to abduct dinosaurs. To what end? I don’t know. Right now, I can only guess as to what their goal is with abductions going on with us, but that’s something for another post.

If this is really true and this craft IS 150 million years old, then we will have no choice as to seriously reconsider life on our world, and the probability of life in the galaxy. My personal opinion? Yes – they are very real people, and they are here.

What are they here for? Well if they were hostile, we’d know it by now, and would blow up their mothership with some Windows 95 virus

Joint Recon Study Group: Ancient crashed UFO claimed to be from dinosaur age, 150 million years ago

Continue reading »]]> You know a while ago I was talking about a very strange UFO sighting that occurred in the Netherlands at which there was a UFO first, and then two days later clouds were forming extremely fast out of nowhere, at the same spot the UFO was earlier on. However in this particular sighting, the UFO did not move in any way. At least not on the footage.

An overwhelming number of people throughout the world who claim to have seen one or many of these vehicles, presenting an unnatural precision of maneuvering, speed, coordination. Oftentimes they would do 90 degree turns at insane speeds. With our conventional methods, such a maneuver would lead to instant death due to extreme pressure in the cabin occurring at the moment of the turn.

There are certain laws of physics that cannot be broken with conventional flying vehicles such as airplanes. Yet, these vehicles believed to be from other worlds exhibit these unbelievable features, laughing at our primitive flying abilities.

So how do they do it? What’s the trick here? How can they do it without being squashed inside?

Apparently the trick lies within ionization of the air, surrounding the object. Ideally this object is saucer shaped, for aerodynamics. Makes sense.

So… how does it work – exactly? Like:

The surface of the saucer-shaped craft will be covered with electrodes that, when powered by a battery or other power source, will ionize the surrounding air to create plasma. When charged with an electric current, the polarized plasma will repel the non-polarized air, creating lift and thrust. Such an aircraft would have very stable flight characteristics, with the pilot controlling it by diverting the electrical charge to different parts of the surface.

However keep in mind that this technique, if successful, would only work within the Earth’s atmosphere. It would not work in space as there is no air to ionize. Can you ionize hydrogen or something? Probably. But let’s test this here first.

If however this works, and some UFOs are really from other worlds, I bet you: they are gonna be more interested.

Hopefully we’ll co-exist in peace.
