Hackers 2.0

There are these types of companies, who start, sell their thing, get famous, get a wash of money, and if they get even more famous, they are around for a while. They all do it by the book, with honesty, stay within legal bounds. And then there are these other companies, which legally employ certain people to do, well, illegal stuff. One of these companies is SEM Professionals. SEM stands for Search Engine Marketing. This company apparently wanted to gain a higher Google ranking. So what do they do? They give one of their employees the task to actually hack a blog, let it disappear from Google, in order to climb up the golden ranking ladder.

JustInsomnia in hacked state - spam links all over the place, Search Engine bots no longer welcome

The plan backfired. The guy who owns the blog that got hacked tracked the attacker down, then publishes his name and photos, as well as information how to retrieve more personal details about him. Vadim Smelyansky, you have been 0wn3D.

My name's Marcus. I'm 26. Live in Dublin, Ireland. Work for a well-known Internet company. I'm not smart. I'm single. I'm crazy. I think aliens visit us. I have an iPhone (ZOMG!!). I like technology. I'm lost on this planet. Wandering this world. I'd vote Obama. I have an HD TV. I cycle to work (so I'm carbon-neutral). Domino's is on speed-dial on my phone. I like Macs. I'm a friend.

I think life's just a ride in an amusement park.
